Thanks Onur for posting your question. On your Question #8, don’t yo need to specify whether its an EC2 or VPC security group… For EC2 security group, you cannot change. For VPc, you can change SG while the instance is running.Does that make sense ?

Good quiz but I disagree with 11 of the answers. Below are my rsponses with references:
    1)D A — AWS does have a termination protection
2)B D — Yes, you can dettach a volume from one instance (when the instance is off) and attach it to another. force dettach is only needed if you are having problems dettaching the volume from existing instance, and if the volume is root it will not allow you to force dettach it when the instance is running.

      Hi Bruce,

I’ve checked some of the answers and they seems ok with your references. I think the answers were displaying randomly and the correct answers list was not correct. I will update it. Thanks for your comment.

Hi, your answer to Q5 is incorrect (in fact none of the available choices is correct). If an HTTP request comes in on port 80 then the outbound response will go to an ephemeral port on the client so you will need a NACL rule to allow all outbound ephemeral ports (destination 0.0.0.0/0, TCP, ports 49152-65535, ALLOW). Network ACLs are stateless, unlike Security Groups which are stateful.

An instance running a webserver is launched in a VPC subnet. A security group and a NACL are configured to allow inbound port 80. What should be done to make web server accessible by everyone?

    1. Outbound Port 80 rule should be enabled on security group
    2. Outbound Ports 49152-65535 should be enabled on NACL
    3. Outbound Port 80 rule should be enabled on both security group and NACL
    4. All ports both inbound and outbound should be enabled on security group and NACL

by default all the outbound ports are enabled for security groups so the answer cannot be a A it has to be either C or D

      Hello,

For security groups, you are right. But here, there is NACL and if you use NACL you have to create a rule that allows outbound access( NACLS are stateless).

Hi, I answered the quiz with your answers, provided above on July 31 and I get an 18/20… Can you please update?

    Thanks.

Also, you can have versioning and lifecycle policies enabled together, can you please explain your reasoning for #16?

#16 can be looked via rule of elimination. Option A and B are anyways wrong. D could’ve been correct, but C hits the nail on its head when it mentions that ‘Once enabled, versioning cannot be disabled’, hence option C makes more sense.

I’ve serious doubt about #2, as the answer should’ve been D and nothing else. See the link –

#16 the for this question should be D.
You can add lifecycle configuration to nonversioned buckets and versioning-enabled buckets.
